All my parents are like “wait, what’s a weekend?”! And to that I say, HEY! I love weekends, even with my toddler. Weekends mean family activities with all 3 of us. Weekends mean visiting grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins. Weekends mean relaxation, fun, and family. Who says having a kid means life gets boring? I have more fun since I had Bee than I ever did before I was a parent. SO.. HAPPY FRIDAY! Here’s to the weekend! To celebrate, here are my Friday Favourites – things I am loving this week.
First up is Sweet Tea Jewels, mostly because I’ve been meaning to talk to y’all about these again for some time. You can read my original review of these bracelets here. I love the mama who runs this shop, and I help her out with her blogger collaborations from time to time. She is sweet as pie and works really hard to support her family. Her bracelets are all STUNNING, but I am especially a fan of my stack, which you can see above. The soft colours have me dreaming of warm breezes and sunshine. We’re almost there, Mother Nature…! Shop for Sweet Tea Jewels here, and use the code TDIAM15 for 15% off.
Gap and Old Navy are having SPRING SALES. At Gap I am OBSESSED with this adorable eyelet dress (give me ALL the eyelet things for Spring & Summer). It’s only $35 (cad)! And these colourful leggings ($11 cad) would be so sweet jumping in muddy puddles with these rain boots (which aren’t from Gap nor on sale, but I’ve wanted them for a million years). At Old Navy I actually got these sweet t-strap clogs for B to wear with this dress which is on sale for $13 Canadian, and that’s less than what I got it for, so run, scoop it up, and I will be jealous. Old Navy also is having crazy ridiculous deals on their toddler clothes right now, too. Here are some of my absolute favourites:
Another favourite thing I have this week is Facebook communities. I created one as an extension of this blog as a chance to get to know you all and support you all better. You can ask questions or seek advice about motherhood, share recipes or fun activities to do with kids, or just hang out and chat with like-minded women. It’s become a sanctuary for me whenever I have some free time, and I am LOVING getting to know all the women who have joined. Please feel free to join us, we’d truly love to have you. The group is called The Do It All Mama also, and you can find it here!
Finally, I am loving watching our plants grow that we planted in pots in our house. We also made some birdseed ornaments (would you like the recipe? I can post to the blog!) and filled our feeders for the birds (and squirrels, apparently..) to eat from. I have been raking leaves in the backyard and enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather. Bee has a bit of a cold but it doesn’t seem to be getting worse, so we are enjoying as much sunshine as we can, planting seeds and learning about gardens and how they grow! This weekend we are supposed to see perfect temperatures (perfect for me, I love sweater weather), so I hope we will spend lots of time outside, and maybe even take a trip to the ZOO!
Happy weekend, friends!
What are you loving this week? What are your plans for this weekend?
