Recipe | Perfect Sugar Cookies
Courtesy of Hannah @ Honey & Betts
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas Time!
In this recipe we used organic: flour, butter, vanilla, eggs, baking powder, and salt. We opted out of using raw sugar because I have little to no experience with raw sugar (except with those little packets at restaurants…).
P.S. We also made a no chill batch of sugar cookies that are quick and easy to make when you are limited on time, you can find that recipe here.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
1] Cream together butter and sugar.
2] Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
3] In a seperate bowl mix together flour, baking powder and salt.
4] Add the dry ingredients slowly to the wet ingredients, don’t over mix.
5] Cover bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
6] Lightly flour a board or counter top and a rolling pin, roll out your dough and use your cookie cutter to cut out cookies. The cookies do not spread out much, so you can place your cookies close on the sheet.
7] Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
8] Let cool on sheet before moving the cookies to a cooling rack.

Hello! I am Hannah – a stay at home mom, wife to Matthew, mama to Annaliese and Abigail. I enjoy taking photographs of my baby girls and everything around me, playing board games, hot yoga, praising and worshiping our Lord, and playing sports with my husband. My biggest fashion mistake was my youth – the 2000’s brought me Bart Simpson t-shirts, bleach blonde pixie hair cuts, and Harry Potter style glasses.
