You’ve probably heard me talk about my friend Christine from Amidst The Chaos before. She’s very sweet and inspiring, and she does all sorts of cool stuff. Case in point, she hosted a dinner for local bloggers and I was one of the lucky ladies she invited! I am so excited to share details with you about that night.
I got all dressed up and spent time on my makeup, which I save for special occasions these days it seems. Then I drove about 2 hours to Christine’s beautiful home in the Toronto area! As soon as I walked up to her door I was assured I was in the right place by this sweet sign by Minted, with a wreath around it.
Minted provided all of the paper goods, including the menu sign, place cards, straw flags, invitations and MORE! Christine chose a beautiful floral design which really pops on the black background. The look of the paper goods was classy, modern, and elegant.
The stunning floral arrangements were provided by Tonic Blooms of Toronto. Tonic Blooms provides on demand flower delivery. They deliver stunning handcrafted bouquets FAST within Toronto, at a price that can’t be beat. From the arrangements at our dinner and from following them on Instagram, I can tell you that their arrangements are stunning, unique, and colourful. Everything you want in a good floral arrangement!
Check out the incredible menu..
We had some appetizers – a selection of cheese, meats, and the like. Those in itself were delicious! But THEN we had dinner, which was provided by Meg of 2Beans Catering, who was a contestant on Masterchef Canada! We started off with a grilled peach caprese with a balsamic and honey glaze. I had never had a caprese salad before, and it was incredible. Our entree was made from scratch basil pasta with brown butter sauce. I can’t… I can’t find words for this pasta. It was the best pasta I have ever eaten in my LIFE! Then everything was followed up with a Baileys chocolate mousse which was so perfect. Everything tasted amazing, and I find myself wishing I was eating it again as I reminisce on that night.
After dinner we were spoiled even further with some goodies! We got some delicious macarons from Butter Avenue, a pair of earrings from Jacynta of Jac & James (who unfortunately couldn’t make it to the dinner), a pineapple print from Christine of Amidst The Chaos’ new print shop, and some makeup from Janella of Ma Belle Vie!
But by far the biggest treat of all was the chance to spend the night chatting and connecting with lovely local bloggers. I can’t wait until Christine throws another party so I can do it again, it was the most fun I’ve had in such a long time!
Thank you to our wonderful sponsors for everything you did to make this dinner possible!
