I have teamed up with an amazing group of bloggers to bring you another instalment of “Hump Day Highlights”. Each Wednesday we will list some things from the past week that we are loving, can’t live without, are on our wishlists, or are things we are just plain obsessed with – and we will even add links (when applicable) so you can check out/scoop up anything you love, too.

Canadian friends – beloved pizza chain Pizza Pizza has their Slices For Smiles fundraiser on right now. From April 20th until May 3rd you can support the cause by walking in to your local Pizza Pizza and picking up a special 10″ half smile pepperoni pizza for $2, or a large cheese pizza for $6.99. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these two menu items will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network, to benefit eight of its member children’s hospitals in Canada. You can also support the fundraiser by purchasing a $1 smile icon in store, or by adding a donation to orders placed by phone, online or through Pizza Pizza’s mobile ordering apps. Awesome!! SO many ways to help support the Children’s Miracle Network. Last year, Slices for Smiles raised $375,000, for a total of over $1.65 million since the campaign started all the way back in 2007.
Children’s Miracle Network has 14 member children’s hospitals across Canada that treat millions of kids every year. Donations raised through Slices for Smiles go directly to the Children’s Miracle network hospital in your community – they know where the money is needed most.
ALSO during April (Earth month!) if you take an old mobile device into Pizza Pizza you can recycle it in exchange for a free slice of pizza. And who doesn’t have an old flip phone or cracked Blackberry hangin’ around collecting dust!?

Have you ever heard of FunBites? They are a BPA free, dishwasher safe, made in the USA food cutter that cuts food into fun and perfect shapes. You can cut ANYTHING, even slippery foods like avocado or mango, into perfect bite sized pieces ideal for tiny fingers. If you have a kiddo at home, you probably know what a challenge mealtime can be, so all of these handy little tools can help make food more fun for them, while saving YOU time! Win win!
FunBites come in a bunch of fun shapes and colours. We received a square shaped cutter to review and I LOVE it. It’s deeper than most cutters, so I can stack up a few pieces of watermelon or waffles, or even use it on a sandwich, and cut it all at once. Saves me time, which I don’t have a ton of when my toddler is hungry.. she’s like an angry bear when she’s hungry! 😉
Check out this adorable video to see FunBites in action:
