We’ve been slowly migrating B’s bedtime earlier. She was going to bed between 10-11, sometimes even closer to midnight! She’s doing well. The first couple of nights she had some wake up issues but now she sleeps straight through. Our bedtime routine is simple. We try to make it easier on ourselves and her:
– warm bath with lavender scented products (natural sleep aid)
– coconut oil massage while singing to her
– clean diaper and pajamas
– bottle of warm milk
– a blanket to cuddle, soother
All of this with little to no lights and soft voices. It works really well! Our goal is to continue moving her bedtime forward until she goes to bed by 8. Right now she is going to bed around 9.
Hilariously enough, we pretty much pass out at the same time, too.
I guess free time truly is a thing of the past!
